2018 World Dairy Expo winners celebrated

MADISON, Wis. — For only the second time in World Dairy Expo’s 52-year history, the Supreme Champion of the Junior Show and the Supreme Champion of World Dairy Expo are the same cow: Cutting Edge T Delilah. She was exhibited by Kyle Barton of Copake, N.Y., and is the Grand Champion Brown Swiss and the 2018 Supreme Champion of both the junior and open shows.


Other World Dairy Expo highlights included:
The inaugural Supreme Champion Heifer, MilkSource Gentry Marriot-ET, was also the Junior Champion of the International Jersey Show. She was exhibited by MilkSource Genetics, LLC of Kaukauna, Wis., in partnership with Finca Valparaiso of Guatemala.
Also making history: Junior Show Supreme Champion Heifer and Junior Champion of the International Junior Red & White Show was Ms Kress-Hil Saphire-Red-ET, exhibited by Owen and Kendyll Kress and Savanah Barts, Newton, Wis.
Reserve Supreme Champion honors were awarded to the Grand Champion Holstein, Jacobs Lauthority Loana, exhibited by Ferme Jacobs and Pat Conroy of Cap-Sante, Quebec, Canada. Gamlake Destry Sallie, the Grand Champion of the International Junior Holstein Show and exhibited by Samantha Gambonini of Petaluma, Calif., was named Reserve Supreme Champion of the Junior Show.
Rounding out the Supreme Champions named at World Dairy Expo 2018 are the Junior Champion of the International Holstein Show, MilkSource Taelyn-ET, exhibited by MilkSource Genetics, LLC and the Junior Champion of the International Junior Ayrshire Show, Four-Hills Burd Sassy 64671, exhibited by Johnathan Hill of Bristol, Vt. These two heifers were awarded the Supreme Champion Heifer and the Supreme Champion Heifer of the Junior Show, respectively.
The expo brings together the latest in dairy innovation and the best cattle in North America.
